#HairCare

As a kid, I had always hated my hair.

It was curly, unruly and simply hard to take care of. Imagine this. At the age of ten, I had my first straightening experience and it was fucking brutal. The salon managed to fuck up with my hair and it didn’t straighten properly the first time so they had to do it twice. TWICE.

Even then, the so called ‘permanent straightening’ didn’t last. It took approximately six months before it started to curl and it looked absolutely horrible.

So finally, at the age of fifteen, I decided to stop fighting with it but it was too late. I’m not sure what the salon did exactly, but my hair became delicate. The strands are much thinner now and I no longer have thick locks that I wish I still had.

Looking back, I regret deciding to have my hair straighten. Now I’m spending hundreds of thousands just trying to repair the damage done nine years ago. This is not to say I’m never going to straighten my hair again. I’m very fickle with my hair and when I don’t like how it looks, I chop off my hair without thinking. Regret often ensues but there’s usually nothing I can do.

As I type this, I currently have short curly hair since I chopped it off a few months back. The ends were dry and although I know people usually just trim theirs, I got trigger happy with the scissors and chopped off around six inches.

Anyways, the reason why I’m typing is, is because I’m trying to grow my hair again. I’m looking into products to use for people with my problem and I don’t want to have dry ends when I grow it out. I plan on making this as a thread, to follow up with reviews of random hair products I try and to see if it really works.

Hmmm, what should I call this though?
